MCW Energy Group to Offer Hydrogen Fuel to New and Existing Customers
MCW Energy Group (“MCW”) plans to add hydrogen gas distribution to its standard service offering, as part of its efforts to remain at the forefront of green technology.
“Several MCW customers have expressed interest in selling hydrogen gas to consumers as fuel cell technologies come to market,” said Sami Dabbas, MCW’s Principal. “We believe the new revenue opportunities created by hydrogen gas will provide the needed financial incentives to spur adoption among more traditional stations.”
In addition to his responsibilities at MCW, Mr. Dabbas is an advisor to the California Fuel Cell Partnership (“CFCP”) where he seeks to promote fuel cell vehicles and broaden the commercialization of sustainable energy sources.
The future of transportation requires multiple fuel technologies in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution. Several companies are working to develop technologies that might efficiently exploit the potential of hydrogen energy use in transportation. If hydrogen is prepared without using fossil fuels, vehicle propulsion would not contribute to carbon dioxide emissions.
A large investment in infrastructure would be required to fuel vehicles, making MCW, and organizations like the CFCP, integral to broader consumer adoption.
